Leibish & Co. at the Baselworld 2008 show

 

The thrill of the show started way before the opening of Basel World.
As we prepared the launching of our new campaign and website, the excitement increased in the office. Decisions had to be made about selecting the right pictures, how to give the model glossy lips and how to give her hair a dramatic look; the give-away bags had to be practical and very attractive to the eye; and of course our website had to be easy of access with a glamorous, modern, sleek new look.

Leaving for the Basel Show, nobody really knew how the public would react, if our long time customers would be impressed and if we would catch the attention of new customers.
As we set up our booth with our new posters and accessories, the reactions were instant. People were pleasantly surprised with our new campaign, of course Alexandra, our model, played a big part…

Throughout the Show, we distributed our new bags. Inside the bags was our company profile. At first we were afraid we might have to ship back some bags but as the days of the Show went by, the stack of bags shrunk; it was a real frenzy. People went ecstatic about the bags; teenagers, young women and even sophisticated women. Even some men felt brave and manly enough to walk around the show with our bags on their shoulders.

We left the show with a small pinch in our heart. The Show was over, but we are preparing already for the next one and are looking forward to see how the American public will react to our new campaign. We might even think of some new ideas by then…
