Back in Black

In what seems to be a recurring theme in the celebrity world, black diamonds seem to be taking center stage.

At the recently held 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, none other than the anointed one, Beyonce, chose to pair her just announced baby bump with a pair of Lorraine Schwartz diamond-encrusted tassel earrings with black and colorless diamonds. This fashion statement was also adopted by Zoe Saldana, whose earrings had more of a proliferation of black stones to match her black dress.

Not to be outdone was Rebecca Black and this knock out black diamond bracelet.

So it seems as though the iconic little black dress has some new competition that is only building in momentum. At least there is no color clash between the little black dress and those little black diamonds.
