Designer Donna Karan has teamed up with celebrity jeweler Martin Katz to create a 14-karat yellow and white gold, jewel-encrusted flacon of her scent, Golden Delicious. It is the world’s most expensive perfume flask, worth USD1 million.

The apple-shaped flacon sits upon a base comprised of two layers of water white glass, between which the 14 karat gold continents of the Earth are set with 2,909 precious gemstones indigenous to each country.

Included in this parade of stones are 15 round Brilliant Vivid Pink Diamonds from Australia weighing 1.28 carats and a 2.43 carat Flawless Vivid Yellow Canary Diamond that adorns the ‘cap’ of the bottle.

All the gemstones were hand placed by Katz to form the skyline of Manhattan that is so closely associated with DKNY.

The flacon will be showcased all over the world before being sold to benefit the Action Against Hunger charity (ANI).
