How time flies.

It seems like almost yesterday that the 2011 Golden Globe Awards were presented and here we are again presenting the 2012 Golden Globes.

So what has changed since last year? Well, as the old saying goes, “The more things change, the more they stay the same.” Red carpets, celebrities, designer gowns, and fancy color diamonds. However, this year it seems as though it was the combination of yellow diamonds and platinum that dominated.

Just check out Diane Lane and her platinum chandelier earrings set with white and yellow diamonds, matching white and yellow diamond cocktail ring, and white and yellow diamond bracelets. Created by jeweler to the stars, Neil Lane (no relation), the colored stones perfectly complemented her Dolce & Gabbana gown.

Not to be outdone was Freida Pinto who strutted her stuff in a Chopard necklace made with 145 carats of yellow diamonds and 1705 micro pave diamonds. Freida had a bodyguard in close attendance the whole evening – not for her but for her jewels.

We can only wait and see which color will be dominating the 2013 Golden Globe Awards.
